Some publishers price and distribute licenses differently by region, and tie activation to the region a key was issued for. This isn't universal — many security and productivity licenses activate globally — but it's common enough to check rather than assume.

Check the listing or the seller for the region a license applies to. If you plan to activate in a different country, confirm with the publisher before buying. Be cautious of unusually cheap keys from marketplaces: region-locked or resold keys are a common cause of activation failures and refund disputes.
